Aquarium des Îles

Visit the Aquarium des Îles and admire a variety of marine species from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, including playful harp seals. You will be impressed with the complete skeleton of a minke whale and the collection of marine mammal bones. This is also an opportunity to spot a leatherback turtle.

Interpreters are on site at all times. Some of the friendlier inhabitants of our open tanks can be touched. Documentation is available in English and French.

June and September: daily, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. July and August: daily, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Gardens and Natural Science
You will be enchanted by the rich marine flora and fauna of the St. Lawrence as you discover its ecology and biodiversity. A visit to the Aquarium gives you a glimpse into a fascinating underwater world.
Interpretation Sites
Interpretation capsules are offered on a variety of subjects and marine species. Interpreters are also available at all times to provide customized professional interpretation services.
Wildlife Observation
Marine mammal interpretation. Collection of marine mammal skeletons and bones found in the Îles de la Madeleine, including a complete skeleton of a minke whale. Two harp seals live in an outdoor tank.

How to get there
The Aquarium is located in the heart of the La Grave Historic Site on Route 199 in Havre-Aubert.
