CampsitesWilderness campsites are available in the heart of the Maritime Adventure Park, 8 km (5 mi.) east of Baie-Comeau. Some are near a glacial lake, while others are along the coast and offer panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River. Access to these enchanting sites is on foot, by mountain bike or by sea kayak via the St. Lawrence Water Trail.
YurtLive like the Mongolian nomads: sleep in a yurt! Inspired by the traditional dwelling of the Mongolian nomads and the Turks from the steppes of Central Asia, this large tent-like structure contains 2 beds, kitchen equipment and a propane stove. A granite surface is available outside for cooking as is firewood.
Prospector TentProspector tents are large white canvas tents that were used during expeditions to the West and North American gold rushes. Still today, these tents are very popular with Aboriginals who use them during the summer. Our prospector tent includes 2 beds (39 inches), kitchen equipment, and a propane stove. A granite surface is available outside for cooking as is firewood.
RVs, tent trailers and tentsThe Glacier Exploration Station also offers space for campers to stay. Drinking water, laundry facilities ($) and showers are available.
