Parc de Gros-Cap

Parc de Gros-Cap is the place to kayak in the Islands. Easily accessible via our beach, the coastline around Gros-Cap is dotted with cliffs and well-known caves as well as being protected from prevailing winds. We offer kayaking equipment and activities for all tastes! Excursions, expeditions and training are also available. In the evening, relax for the night in our youth hostel.

Excursion: The Islands from another angle!
An easy activity that is perfect for novice kayakers. Registration and departure from the Gros-Cap site. We also offer excursions in other sectors such as Belle-Anse and Île aux Goélands (Gull Island), depending on weather conditions.

Expedition: Discoveries guaranteed!
For two days or more, enjoy life at another rhythm and experience what makes these islands so exceptional. Leave your usual routine behind and experience an unforgettable adventure. We leave with small groups of 3 to 6 guests to maintain a personalized feel. Customized expeditions: all equipment is provided, along with good meals and snacks, a qualified guide and transportation. Ratio of one guide per 6 people for maximum safety and enjoyment.

Kayaking course accredited by the FQCK!
Why not learn a new skill during your vacation? We offer you the opportunity to enjoy a course accredited by Québec's canoeing/kayaking federation (FQCK) in a unique natural setting. Friendly atmosphere; course is adapted to participants' skill levels.

How to get there

From the Cap-aux-Meules ferry (4 km / 2½ mi.): Turn left on the main road (Route 199). At the second set of lights, turn left on Chemin Gros-Cap and drive for another 2 km (1¼ mi.), then turn left on the campground road.

From the airport (18 km / 11 mi.): At the end of the airport road, turn right on the main road (Route 199). Remain on this road through Cap-aux-Meules. At the second traffic light, turn left on Chemin Gros-Cap and drive for another 2 km (1¼ mi.), then turn left on the campground road.
