The Îles de la Madeleine International Youth Hostel is located at the tip of the Gros-Cap Peninsula in a dream location surrounded by the sea. You can hear it gently washing over the sand or surging into the carved red cliffs. And then there are the sounds of the seabirds, including the famous black guillemots, best seen before August 30, when they are most numerous.
The hostel is a non-smoking establishment offering 9 rooms (3 private and 6 shared) and accommodating 30 guests. It has a communal kitchen, dining room, common room, 3 bathrooms and a washroom on the second floor. Laundromat facilities are in a nearby building. Wireless Internet access is also offered, as are two computers equipped with high-speed Internet access.
This is the perfect place to meet people and share your adventures. The hostel team organizes occasional theme dinners featuring local delicacies, which are a great opportunity to meet locals who will share their love for this region.

From the Cap-aux-Meules ferry (4 km / 2½ mi.): Turn left on the main road (Route 199). At the second set of lights, turn left on Chemin Gros-Cap and drive for another 2 km (1¼ mi.), then turn left on the campground road.
From the airport (18 km / 11 mi.): At the end of the airport road, turn right on the main road (Route 199). Remain on this road through Cap-aux-Meules. At the second traffic light, turn left on Chemin Gros-Cap and drive for another 2 km (1¼ mi.), then turn left on the campground road.
