The Port-Cartier-Sept-Îles Wildlife Reserve, which covers an area of 6423 km
2 (2479 sq. mi.), is known for its excellent fishing. The reserve has over 1000 lakes teeming with fish, about 100 of which are accessible. Due to the abundance of the resource, there is a catch and possession limit of 20 brook trout (speckled trout) per angler. Trout is indigenous here and the quality of its habitat promotes good species reproduction.
In addition to fishing, you can also hunt for moose, small game and black bear on the reserve. Inquire about our various packages!
Don't hesitate to pick blueberries and raspberries while hiking on one of the short trails. What healthier way to satisfy the munchies?
Discover the rivers of the wildlife reserve with canoe camping. The Rochers and MacDonald rivers offer several kilometres of circuits for avid canoe campers. You can also canoe on Walker Lake and Quatre-Lieues Lake.
To top it off, bird lovers can feast their eyes on the numerous birds of prey that inhabit the reserve.
