Thanks to the passion and innovation of our food producers and processors, Québec maritime is known far and wide for its delicious seafood and regional cuisine.

Enjoy a meal at one of our many fine restaurants: fishers, producers and restaurant owners have united to present you with unique food experiences.

Look for the logos of the various organizations that promote our regional cuisine:
Saveurs du Bas-Saint-Laurent
In Bas-Saint-Laurent, savour smoked fish such as sturgeon or eel, or our excellent snow crab. Local cheeses also offer a unique taste of the region. Finish your meal with a delicate final touch: a dessert or alcoholic beverage made with local maple syrup.

Gaspésie Gourmande
No visit to the Gaspésie region would be complete without tasting our delicious lobster, smoked salted fish, red deer venison or emu meat. Fresh fruit and vegetables, deli meats, cheeses, jams and pickles will complete your meal as you enjoy the best that Gaspésie has to offer.

Smarter Seafood
Smarter Seafood is an accreditation program for restaurants and fish markets that support the sustainable development of the St. Lawrence. The goal of the program is to encourage the diversification of fish and seafood consumption, in order to reduce the overfishing of certain species. Look for this accreditation and discover tasty and relatively unknown seaweed, crustacean and fish species.
Le bon goût frais des Îles (“delicious and fresh from the Islands”)
A fresh beer from the microbrewery À l’Abri de la Tempête is the perfect start to a maritime feast of lobster, mussels, scallops or fish. Local cheeses make a perfect platter to top off your meal.

Goûtez la Route des Baleines (“taste the Whale Route”)
A shellfish extravaganza of scallops, softshell clams, whelk and razor clams awaits seafood lovers in the Côte-Nord region. For dessert, try a wild berry that grows nowhere else in Québec: the cloudberry (also known as bakeapple).
Circuit gourmand La nature aux mille délices
In the regions of Manicouagan and Duplessis, enjoy delicious meals at various restaurants, meet enthusiastic food producers and processors, and harvest your own food! Seafood, fish, fruits, vegetables and cheeses are featured. Don’t miss this opportunity to try cloudberries, a local delicacy.
