Activities available

National Parks
Parc national du Bic was created in 1984 to protect and showcase a representative segment of the ecosystems found along the south shore of the St. Lawrence Estuary. It is a coastal marine park that protects unique flora and fauna.
Hiking
Discover the beauty of this coastal park via 25 km (15 mi.) of hiking trails, including a long walking area along the shoreline. Be sure to also admire unique views from the Saint-Fabien and Pic Champlain lookouts.
Cycling
Explore the park by bike! Over 15 km (9 mi.) of bike trails meander through the park, several of which are suitable for the entire family. These trails cross through various environments, from meadows to the seaside.
Sea Kayaking
Sea kayaking excursions on the St. Lawrence with Kayak Archipel du Bic are magical and a perfect opportunity to observe birds and marine wildlife. (Be sure to approach them cautiously to avoid disturbing them.) Sunset excursions are especially memorable!
Wildlife Observation
Seal observation is one of the park’s main attractions from June to September. The park also shelters thousands of seabirds as well as birds of prey, which can be observed during the spring migration. White-tailed deer are also plentiful.
Interpretation Sites
The Discovery and Visitors Centre at the Rioux Farm presents a permanent exhibition and screens audiovisual presentations. The park wardens, who are also naturalists, will introduce you to the park’s plants, wildlife, geology and archaeology.
Maritime Heritage
Escape the everyday and immerse yourself in the history, legends and stories of Le Bic. Find out how many of the islands in the estuary got their names and learn about the history of navigation on the St. Lawrence Estuary.
Indigenous Heritage
Long before the arrival of European explorers, Indigenous people roamed this land. Archeological digs have uncovered remains of several of their encampments, some dating back 8000 years, leaving no doubt as to their presence in Le Bic.
Regional Flavours
Located in the heart of the park, the park’s Discovery and Visitors Centre (Rioux Farm) offers regional products for sale, including sausages, cheeses, maple products and more.
Bird Watching
The park shelters thousands of seabirds as well as birds of prey, which can be observed from the Raoul-Roy lookout during the spring migration.
