Valmont Plein Air offers a variety of nature adventures including kayaking on the Cap-Chat River. This calm river surrounded by beautiful wilderness is perfect for first-time paddlers. Enjoy a great time with friends or family!

Your holidays in Gaspésie will never be the same again once you have discovered kiting. Valmont Plein Air can introduce you to this popular sport and you can purchase a family kite, sport kite or power kite on site.

Valmont Plein Air also offers mountain transportation to the International Appalachian Trail (IAT), where you can hike on the ridges of some of Québec's most beautiful mountains.

The starting point for all of these activities is a friendly bistro/bar located in a beautiful setting where mountains, sea and river meet. Savour our pastas, fine pizzas, salads and sandwiches. Our chef will surprise you. We also offer fabulous espresso coffee and a vast selection of local and imported beers. Finally, you can also access the Internet at any time ($).

Sea Kayaking
Valmont Plein Air offers kayak rentals. The sea is not always accessible; however, the sunsets are memorable, especially when you admire them from the water. Don't miss this unique opportunity!
Lake and River Excursions
Let the Cap-Chat River carry you on a scenic paddle through beautiful wilderness. This river is perfect for first-time kayakers. In addition, we provide a shuttle service that will take you upstream to where your river adventure begins.

How to get there

We are located on Route 132 (Rue Notre-Dame), across from the Cap-Chat rest area, at the mouth of the Cap-Chat River.
