The Gaspésie Tour Turns 90 in 2019!
This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Gaspésie Tour. In 1929, construction was completed on what was then Route 6 and is now Route 132, which loops around the entire Gaspé Peninsula. This is a perfect time to discover or rediscover this legendary scenic drive!
Until the ferry service resumes between Matane and Baie-Comeau (Godbout), the STQ is enhancing their other ferry services. The Rivière-du-Loup–Saint-Siméon, Trois-Pistoles–Les Escoumins and Rimouski–Forestville ferries will begin operating a few weeks earlier, giving passengers access to these three complementary services to travel from one side of the St. Lawrence to the other. In addition, pedestrians can continue to use the air service between Mont-Joli, Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles for the next few months.
