With several recognized archeological sites, Côte-Nord is one of the most studied regions in Québec. Archeologists and ethnologists have been coming to the area for almost 100 years to conduct their research. Discover the fascinating world of archeology and Indigenous prehistory at the Centre Archéo-Topo. Archeological digs are gradually revealing images and scenarios of coastal inhabitation dating back close to 9000 years.

Several activities or workshops are offered to help you discover the region’s history and archeology in a fun way:

  • pottery or dream catcher workshops
  • hikes with an archeological twist in the company of an interpreter guide
  • various talks throughout the summer
