Come and visit Québec’s largest thermal generating station to learn all about how electric power is produced in the Îles de la Madeleine!

Discover how six diesel engines, similar to those found on ships, generate 11,000 kW of electricity each to supply power to nearly 13,000 residents. During the guided tour, learn about the history of electricity on the archipelago, current issues regarding the energy transition and how the thermal generating station produces electricity.
