Where to Cycle
The maritime regions of Québec are home to a wide variety of bike paths and trails that give you the opportunity to cycle through our regions at your own pace. Bring your own bike or rent one once you are here.
Route Verte cycling trail
The Route Verte cycling trail is a network of bikeways crisscrossing the regions of Québec, including the maritime regions of Québec.
In Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Petit Témis Interprovincial Linear Park is a 134-kilometre cycling trail that runs along an old railway bed. The north section of the park goes from Rivière-du-Loup to Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac, while the south section links Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac to Edmundston, New Brunswick.
National parks
The national parks of Québec and Canada offer hundreds of kilometres of bike trails. You can ride them at your own pace to explore the beauty of our regions. Parc national du Bic, the Auberge de montagnes des Chic-Chocs and Forillon National Park also offer bike rentals.
Other cycling trails
In addition to the Route Verte cycling trail and the trails in national parks, local and municipal bike paths will encourage you to spend more time exploring the towns and villages of the maritime regions of Québec and their surroundings. Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord and the Îles de la Madeleine all offer bike paths that will take you to enchanting sites.
