In the winter, the Uapishka (Groulx) Mountains are a powder snow paradise that will appeal to winter sports enthusiasts. This mountain range includes about 30 peaks over 1000 metres (3300 feet) high.

Enjoy the comforts of the lodge and dining room during your winter stay.

Snowshoeing and backcountry skiing

With an altitude of 900 metres (2950 feet) and a vertical drop of 150 metres (490 feet), this area is perfect for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.

Backcountry snowmobiling

This area is also popular with backcountry snowmobile enthusiasts. Please note that snowmobiling in the Uapishka (Groulx) Mountains is regulated by a strict protocol.

How to get there

From Baie-Comeau, head north on Route 389. The Uapishka Station is located at km 336. The drive takes about 4.5 hours. The road is paved from Baie-Comeau to Manic-5 (km 214).

The Uapishka Station is 250 km (155 mi.) south of Fermont, about a 4 hours’ drive.
