Alexander Reford

Elsie Reford’s great-grandson, Alexander Reford, has been the director of the Reford Gardens since 1995 and oversees their conservation and development. Trained as a historian at Oxford University and the University of Toronto, he has written many articles and books on the history of Canada. He chairs the Association des Jardins du Québec (Québec Garden Association) and is the co-founder of the International Garden Festival, which takes place every year at the Reford Gardens.
